Remarkable solid-state proton conduction in sulfur- and nitrogen-functionalized few-layer graphene

The Research group of Prof. Amit Paul, Department of Chemistry, developed Sulfur- and Nitrogen-Functionalized Few-Layer Graphene (SNFG), which demonstrated solid-state proton conductivity comparable to Nafion, currently used for different renewable energy applications, including Fuel Cells. Bringing hope for graphene-based economical material as a replacement for costly polymer-based material (Nafion).
